Introduction
The aim of this project is to deal with the consequences of a DDoS attack with a social perspective. A brief summary would be provided (in order not to bored the user with too much information) about a economic losses it generates, the problems it may cause to an user and the need to raise awereness on them.

1. Introduction
Imagine you are on a online game of your favourite videogame, you have just won one game and lost another one. Now you need to win in order to get into the next ranking. You and your team are working as a real group and the victory seems to be quite close, meanwhile, your character starts freezing and you can't do anything while watching how your opponent is getting closer, you have no idea what's going on, you check your connectivity and everything is fine, but you can't play, the videogame isn't working and suddenly a box appears saying "Restoring conexion". What's the problem? You may ask yourself. The videogame servers have suffered a DDoS attack.
2. Explanation
A Denial of Service attack(DDos) has the purpose of forbidding your computer to stablish a connexion with the server being attacked because it is saturated due data that it can send through the network, so, the online game can't continue until the server recovers itself.
A DDoS is carried out by bots(A computer with a malware), they are connected to the target server and they start sending hundreds of requests. A bot army, or bot network, may contain thousands of infected computers ruled by a a person or by a group aiming hurt the network.
These kind of attacks are normally easy to perform, specially if there already exists places where anyone can pay for bot networks and send any attacj to any server if it's affordable.

Resumen
Nos hemos centrado en las implicaciones sociales y económicas de los DDoS y en el impacto que pueden tener en un usuario medio. Nuestro principal objetivo es informar y concienciar al usuario iniciado a este tema y no profundizar en los aspectos técnicos detallados.
Hemos determinado que un vídeo de corta duración (alrededor de 3 minutos) sería el método más directo y eficaz para esta meta, ya que evitaríamos el hastío de nuestro público.
Debido al carácter libre y público del vídeo hemos tenido que filtrar los recursos utilizados para asegurarnos de su naturaleza libre. En el caso del audio, lo hemos realizado personalmente. Las imágenes utilizadas han sido seleccionadas entre una recopilación de uso libre de tal forma que se centren en el mensaje que queríamos transmitir y no excediesen el límite de tiempo impuesto al vídeo.
Con el fin de facilitar al mayor número de usuarios la comprensión del vídeo, hemos añadido de forma manual subtítulos en inglés y español, perfectamente sincronizados con el audio.
De igual forma, con el fin de facilitar la labor a los interesados que deseen informarse en mayor profundidad, hemos incluido material de documentación inicial en la descripción del vídeo.
Para aumentar la visibilidad del vídeo y así hacer llegar nuestro mensaje a la mayor cantidad de gente posible hemos intentado promocionarlo en foros y otros medios, así como en distintos círculos sociales.
Originalidad
Aunque hay numerosos vídeos que tratan el tema del DDoS, la mayoría se centra más en aspectos más avanzados y por ello, decidimos centrarnos en la idea de informar al usuario novato. Aunque existen vídeos similares dedicados al tema, tienen una presencia mucho menor en la red que los anteriores.
Además, hemos centrado nuestro enfoque especialmente en las consecuencias para un usuario medio mientras la mayoría de los otros se centran más en cómo funcionan los DDoS y consecuencias generales.
Impacto social:
Por determinar. El vídeo fue publicado hace poco tiempo.
Utilidad:
Esperamos que ayude a que los iniciados tengan un conocimiento básico y adquieran conciencia del problema. La medida en la que esto sea alcanzado dependerá del impacto social.
